You want pictures from Gabon - ok, I will try to send some regularly. Tell me what you would like to see the most, and I will try to take and send pictures. We are living on the coast, and the main biotopes here are lagoons with mangrove, and mosaic forest-savanna, so very different from Thailand!

I send you here the picture of a plate-lizard, Gerrhosaurus nigrolineatus, taken in our garden! This family of lizards lives only in Africa.

Have you been to any river or stream there?  I would like to see pics of freshwater fishes, especially African cyprinids.

I have participated to a fish survey - we found 70 species, including numerous cyprinids. I will try to post pictures.

Yes, Gabon is definitely the country of killis! There are many endemic species. Here, they are easy to find: in any little dirty temporary pool in the forest you can find these little jewels!
