Himantura kittipongi n. sp. from Kanchanaburi maeklong River is described coauthor with T. . Roberts in natural History Bulletin of Siam Society, 2005 53 (1): 123-132. This stingray socalled Kittipong's stingray, and named after him for the type specimens collected by him and given to the authors.

Much more rows of mandible teeth 14-15 (vs 4-8) Dark spiracle, tail ,and dark (with yellow covering in life adults) ventral disc margin (vs white). Brown to dark grey of dorsal color, sometime with pale brown edge (vs pale brown with white margin). More dorsal denticles.
