If this is not done more than 1-3 times a year getting around 20-30 bettas of mix size and sex should not be a problem.  40-50 is a bit too much.

Khun KK, please do not worry too much.  I doubt Khun Neng collected bettas for commercial purpose.  Usually mainstream wild fish collecters won't tell others about the collecting site because they fear others would rush in to collect fromthe same site, ruining their business.

I agree with Khun Plateen's comment.  We have to be careful about wrong practice with good intention, however.
