สอบถามผู้รู้ทุกท่านช่วยระบุชนิดและเพศของจิ้งจกด้วย ครับ เก็บจากต้นไม้ข้่งบ้านไม่เกิน 5 เมตร พยายาม ID ตามที่คุณ knotsnake ได้อธิบายไว้ แต่ไม่แน่ใจว่าเป็นสองชนิดนี้หรือเปล่า 1.จิ้งจกหางแบน Hemidactylus platyurus หรือ 2.จิ้งจกบ้านหางหนาม H. frenatus
แล้วมันเป็นเพศอะไร ดุได้อย่างไรครับ

ถ้าเป็นหางหนาม ลักษณะหางที่เหลือส่วนดั้งเดิมจะมีติ่งคล้ายหนามเรียงเป็นวงรอบหาง(ยกเว้นด้านล่าง) หากหางเคยขาดถึงโคน หางที่ส่วนงอกใหม่จะไม่มีลักษณะคล้ายหนาม สามารถใช้ลักษณะตัดขวางของหางที่ดูเป็นวงกลม หากมันขาดสุดๆแล้วยังไม่งอกให่ ให้ไปดูที่หลังของมัน เกล็ดที่หลังจะมีสองแบบคือ แบบเรียบๆเล็กๆละเอียดๆแล้วมีเกล็ดมีลักษณะเป็นตุ่มที่ใหญ่กว่าแบบแรกและโค้งนูนเห็นได้ชัดเจน ข้างตัวไม่มีแผ่นหนังระหว่างขาหน้ากับขาหลัง

หากเป็นหางแบน หางดูเรียบๆแบนๆไม่ว่าจะเคยขาดหรือไม่ แต่ถ้าขาดสุดๆแล้วยังไม่มีส่วนงอกใหม่ หลังของมันจะมีเฉพาะเกล็ดเล็กๆเรียบๆเท่านั้น และข้างตัวมีแผ่นหนังระหว่างขาหน้าและขาหลัง มีแผ่นหนังระหว่างนิ้วชัดเจนครับ

ผมคงไม่สรุปให้ว่าเป็นชนิดใด ลองพิจารณาจากข้อมูลที่ให้ครับ
