พอดีมีเพื่อนสวนทางกันที่ตรัง แล้วดันเจองูตัวนี้เข้าที่หาด เจ้าตัวดันเชื่อว่าเป็นงูทะเล แต่ข้าพเจ้าดูแล้วไม่น่าใช่ น้องๆหลังไมค์แกว่าคล้ายๆกับปี่แก้ว เลยอยากรบกวนขอความเห็นพี่ๆหน่อยค่ะ ^^

งูปลาตาเล็ก (Gerarda prevostiana) ครับ หากรูปนี้แสดงมุมเฉียงลงที่ข้างหัว จะจำแนกง่ายขึ้นอีกบานตะเกียงเลยครับ นิสัยก็น่ารัก อาหารก็นิยมกินปู ซึ่งมีงูไม่กี่ชนิดในโลกที่กินปูกระดองแข็งได้ ซึ่งมันสามารถทำได้ แต่หักก้าม และขาปูกิน ส่วนตัวมักไม่ค่อยได้กิน เพราะมักใหญ่เกินที่จะกิน ปากของมันขยายได้ไม่มากนักขอรับ

เพิ่งจะรู้ว่าหน้าตามันเป็นเช่นนี้แล พอดูภาพครั้งแรกถึงนึกไปทางพวกปี่แก้ว

marine snake จะรวมทั้งพวก sea snake, file snake (เฉพาะ Achochordus granulatus) และ Homalopsidae ที่อยู่พื้นที่น้ำกร่อยและน้ำเค็มทั้งหมด (เช่น งูปากกว้างน้ำเค็ม งูปลาหลังม่วง เป็นต้น) แล้วยังมี Natricidae บางชนิดก็ยังอยู่กลุ่มนี้ด้วย เช่น Xenochrophis punctulatus (ไปหาเอาเองว่าหน้าตาเป็นไง อิ อิ) ซึ่งพวก Homalopsidae และ Natricidae นั้นจะให้เป็น aquatic หรือ semi-aquatic snake ก็ได้ แล้วแต่ตำรา แต่ข้อสังเกตของงูวงศ์ดังกล่าวหางมักจะแบนข้างเล็กน้อยแล้ว

พอบอกงูปลาแล้วนึกว่ามันจะกินปลาตามชื่อนะนี่..ตื่นเต้นตอนกินปูแฮะ พวกนี้มันมีระบบย่อยไคตินได้ด้วยหรอค่ะ หรือว่ามันใช้คายเปลือกเอา
